Janice Bryant Howroyd, born on September 1, 1952, in Tarboro, North Carolina, is one of the many African Americans who have done great achievements in their lives that changed the lives of all African Americans around the world today.
Janice Bryant Howroyd went to school at North Carolina A&T State University she went to Maryland University to earn her master’s degree. She is currently married to Bernard Howroyd, CEO of ACT-1. She loves all of her siblings, Mother, Father, and Husband. She is grateful to God for all the people who surround her with positive attitudes and people who remind her that she can get through the good times and bad times. I am inspired by Janice Bryant Howroyd to work hard and to be as successful as I can be. She succeed on maintaining an edge, expanding into new markets and offering valued clients new services as part of a business plan.
Janice Bryant Howroyd grew up with 11 sisters and bothers. Her parents taught all her children about business at a young age. She is the most successful living person in my eyes. Janice Bryant Howroyd believes that people perform best when their personal strengths are built-up and challenged. I chose her because she is not as publicized as Martin Luther King or Rosa Parks and people should be educated about her.
Her loving parents inspire her. By observing how they handle business and depart it from their social life. She learned never to give up and to surround herself with positive people. Janice Bryant Howroyd parents are her role model. She was taught that family should never fight and if they had a problem with each other they should always confront the other about it the situation and solve it peacefully.
Janice Bryant Howroyd is the founder and of AppleOne Employment Services (ACT-1). Act-1 is a company that provides staffing solutions for corporations nationwide. It is currently one of the largest owned by an African American. She had two things that had a major impact on her company stay firm in her family and pray to God every day. Since she did that she has earned award Entrepreneur of the Year, AT&T, 1994. In 2008, she received an award at the BET Honors for her achievements.
