Janice Bryant Howroyd went to school at North Carolina A&T State University she went to Maryland University to earn her master’s degree. She is currently married to Bernard Howroyd, CEO of ACT-1. She loves all of her siblings, Mother, Father, and Husband. She is grateful to God for all the people who surround her with positive attitudes and people who remind her that she can get through the good times and bad times. Janice Bryant Howroyd is the founder and of AppleOne Employment Services (ACT-1). Act-1 is a company that provides staffing solutions for corporations nationwide. It is currently one of the largest owned by an African American. She had two things that had a major impact on her company stay firm in her family and pray to God every day. Since she did that she has earned award Entrepreneur of the Year, AT&T, 1994. In 2008, she received an award at the BET Honors for her achievements.
